With the help of factor and cluster analysis the authors tested construct validity of the questionnaire "Adolescent Coping Scale" devised by E.Frydenberg and R.Lewis for diagnosing styles of psychological coping. The styles postulated by the authors (productive, unproductive, social) were not discovered. However, there is a possibility of other coping styles, such as problem-oriented, mobilizing, emotional dominant and sociotropic. Taking into consideration the factor of intellectual control, the authors have also revised criteria of productivity of coping behaviour (variability and mobility).
