Brain asymmetry and verbal creativity
(RESUME)

A study was conducted to research differences in manifestations of verbal creativity depending on individual profiles of lateral organization of brain functions and the type of motor asymmetry. The main question the authors aimed to answer was how an individual profile of the lateral organization of brain functions (IPLO) can manifest itself at the level of creating a text. The qualitative and quantitative analysis conducted revealed individual variants of IPLO which are linked to high performance results on all factors of verbal creativity. It was also discovered that emotional and meaningful content of subjects' responses depended on the type of their motor asymmetry.
