Students of Moscow University (101 males and 104 females aged 17 to 20) were tested with the help of the classical Ilyin's tapping test and a modified motor test in order to assess their psychomotor characteristics. A T-factor analysis revealed three significant regularities in variability of psychomotor characteristics. Various statistical methods were used to research links between psychomotor and dermatoglyphic characteristics. The authors also suggest a technique for appraising the individual psychomotor status on T-factor meanings: indices of general reactivity, dynamics of exhaustion and mobilization.
