The clock as a cultural subject: An attempt of psychological analysis
(RESUME)

Psychological aspects of functioning of the clock in human culture are discussed as well as the structure of the skill of telling the time by the clock, its formation in ontogenesis and its transformations due to contemporary changes in the social developmental situation. The authors argue actuality of analyzing different forms of the clock's symbolic mediation of mental activity in the context of the problem of cultural pathology.
