Qualitative methodology and the constructivist paradigm in psychology
(RESUME)

The paper contains an analysis of modern qua-litative methodology in the light of constructivist ideas ands conceptions it is mainly guided by. The author discusses key approaches and conceptions constituting the constructivist paradigm in psychology, with a detailed comparative analysis of the constructivist and the positivist paradigms in the ways they treat the problems of the goal of cognition, legitimacy of the approach and the method, the truth, foundations of knowledge, language, criteria for assessing research results, the researcher's actions, research control and genre of the scientific text.
