Small group psychology abroad: Problems and tendencies
(RESUME)

The paper analyzes possible factors affecting dynamics of scientific interest in small group processes in psychological science abroad, pointing out a discrepancy between the quantity (great) and the quality (relatively low) of appropriate studies caused by divergent development of theory and practice and increasing isolation of studies in different scientific disciplines. The author discusses different interpretations of the nature of the gap between theory and practice, views on ways of bridging the gap and prospects for interdisciplinary integration.
