The paper proves that loss of a job brings about changes in a person's perceptions of time, i.e. own psychological age, life expectancy, etc. Findings of a comparative study conducted by the author in groups of unemployed and employed demonstrate significant differences in life satisfaction, life meaning and locus of control.
