The paper contains a classification of complaints expressed my mothers of children aged 5 to 11 who applied for psychological help. The data show that the most difficult time for parents is primary school when problems are mostly caused by the child's schooling. An experimental study was conducted to find out psychological causes of those problems. The findings of the study, supplemented by questionnaires answered by parents, allowed the authors to discover eight types of problems in relations between mother and child. The paper also analyzes psychological factors behind difficulties that a mother experiences in relations with her child.
