The concept of literary development of schoolchildren in Elkonin - Davydov system and its fulfillment by a course "Literature as a subject of aesthetic cycle" are presented. The approach to literature teaching guaranteeing the formation of aesthetically developed reader is described. The method of joining the children to literary creation and reader's cocreation is described. The results of innovative education are presented.
