Integration of psychology: Is it a utopia or a reality?
(RESUME)

The author states that integration tendencies are very pronounced in psychological thinking, which in his opinion reflects essential needs of the science that has been split into separate autonomous sections for too long a time. The author argues that the integration of psychology is to be achieved by means of bridging three main gaps in the system of psychological knowledge - the horizontal (between different psychological schools and conceptions), the vertical (between different levels of determination and explanation of psychological phenomena) and the diagonal (between theoretical and practical psychology). The idea of parallel causality is suggested as a way of solving the main "riddle" of psychological science.
