Age dynamics of the functional asymmetry of the brain in dichotic verbal perception (phonemic and lexical) was studied in primary school children. The data obtained point to changes in inter-hemispheric relations in the period of mastering the alphabet, mainly through more active engagement of the right hemisphere.
