The psychosemantic approach to the study of personality realizes the paradigm of the "subject" approach to understanding another. The specificity of the approach is in studying a work of art through an intermediary - the recipient, trying to understand the work in its transformed shape - as an event, a spiritual experience in the life of another person. Reconstruction of the individually transformed existence of a work of art is performed by means of building subjective semantic spaces serving as operational models of the viewer's mind. In the study described in the paper a psychosemantic survey of spectators' impressions was used to reconstruct a system of artistic constructs structuring the meaning of a work of art.
