Personality development in the process of professional growth
(RESUME)

The author presents his own conception of a professional's personality development. Unlike existing views on professional development as determined by age and length of service, the author argues that professionalism is not a function of the above parameters, but is determined by the stage of professional development which an individual has achieved. In this way the author introduces the conception of specialists having achieved different stages of professional growth as well as describing criteria of professionalism.
