Special abilities in the structure of activity of subject teachers

The paper reports the findings of an experimental study of special (pedagogical and "subject") abilities in teachers of chemistry and biology, debating whether there is a correlation between the structure of special abilities on the one hand and the subject being taught and the stage of the pedagogical career on the other. The authors have identified complexes of individual traits facilitating development of special abilities as well as ways of improving those abilities.
