The literature on the problem contains data pointing to three kinds of link between positive and negative emotions: reverse, zero and direct. One of the moderators mediating the link is the level of development of an individual as subject of activity. The author identifies three kinds of links between contrasting emotions and the level of the individual as subject of activity: reverse, direct and non-monotonous. The latter means that in the process of the development of the subject of activity the link between positive and negative emotions first changes from direct to reverse and then back to direct.
