Creative thinking and anticipation in schizophrenic patients and mentally sound people
(RESUME)

The study aimed to discover correlation between creativity and anticipation in normal people and schizophrenic patients, links and interdependencies between creative and prognostic competences. Schizophrenic patients show better achievement on verbal tests. The personality-situation component of anticipation is higher in normal subjects, the space and time components show equal meanings in both categories of subjects. The following tendency was discovered: the higher the index of the personality-space component of anticipation, the higher the index of flexibility of creative thinking in schizophrenics. In men-tally sound subjects fluency and flexibility of thinking contribute to prognostic competence, but originality of thinking does not contribute to the success of anticipation.
