The study is based on V.S. Mukhina's theory of structural links of self-consciousness and the method of studying the degree of their development on the basis of determining the adaptability of a person in different situations. The results show that the fact of being part of a church community has a considerable effect on the development and manifestation of self-consciousness in children aged 5-8 (low levels of aggressive responses in dealing with teachers, parents and peers). Characteristics of the structural links of self-consciousness also depend on the family's religious denomination and the child's sex.
