Psychological differences between the sexes were studied on the basis of free self-description texts. Correlation analysis of the texts and data obtained from personality tests (carried out separately for men and women) has shown a number of aspects of self-description that have different psychological meaning for men and women. Causes of these differences may lie in the peculiarities of their motivation and values. The correlations obtained may serve as a basis for generalized descriptions of a man and a woman.
