The article looks at the relation between a person's character and system of attitudes and psychological states emerging in pedagogical activity. It describes typical complexes of attitudes characteristic of teachers, typical relations between attitudes, character traits and psychological states, core character traits that form nuclei of complexes related to typical states. It has been discovered that level characteristics of the attitude system are related to intensity and stability of psychological states, determine their dependence on character. It has also been established that the role of character increases in stressful situations.
