Cognitive and emotional aspects of gender sets in 3-7-year-old children
(RESUME)

Hypothesis of emotional-cognitive dissonance as a mechanism of forming gender-role consciousness has been checked in psychological experiment on 3-7-year-old children; the same experiment has been conducted with the analogous group of 68 children brought up in another social-economic conditions. The results confirm the above hypothesis and describe peculiarities of inner structure and dynamics of this dissonance, its dependence on environment conditions and connection with philogenetic gender differences.
