Different pictures of intellectual activiti are observed in patients following right-side and left-side thalamotomy; besides, the new pattern î activity significantly differs from what had been observed before the operation. The data are interpreted with the view to make more exac functional connections between cortical and subcortical formations of the brain's left and right hemispheres as related to mental perfomance.
