(RESUME)

History and present-day state of the developmental psychology in Estonia are described. Development of this branch of psychology in the Republic is shown to be a product of integration of different external influences (Rubinstein, Ananiev, Leontiev) into the mainstream research as it started establishing in the 20-30-ies. Original findings of Estonian psychologists are presented as well as basic trends in their applied work.
