The "game of portraits" invented by I. S. Turgenev has been turned by the author into an experimental procedure. It has been established that creatively more advanced schoolchildren more efficiently perform corresponding tasks and that psychological perspicacity of senior schoolchildren increases after some experience of participating in the game.
